About

I hold many titles, but the most important one is mom to three beautiful children. I am so much more than a mom, but being a mother brings me an unexplainable joy that I lean on during the rough days.
My passion for working with youth started at an early age while helping my father coach sports and my mother raise children in foster care. I am caring, compassionate, and proud of my ability to positively connect with other parents and educators to improve outcomes for youth.
 

I am a former school counselor and current educational administrator with more than 23 years of experience working with K-12 students in schools and with parks and recreation departments to develop
programs for youth. I have had the pleasure of creating trainings, programs, and experiences that have had positive, lasting impacts on children and adults.
 

I am currently in the process of completing my doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Pepperdine University. My research includes the implementation of trauma-informed
practices in K-12 school settings, with a specific emphasis on the role of school counselors. My experience and passion for being a voice for the voiceless is what led me to create Positive Note Consulting LLC in order to provide parents and educators with additional resources and tools to help children succeed in and out of the classroom.
